Ask Sapphire

Ask your firm anything. See where every answer comes from.

Ask Sapphire answers from your own matters, documents, deadlines and time — shows the source behind every line — and prepares the next step for you to approve. Sapphire Legal already works before you ask. Now it answers when you do.

Three promises, kept by design.

Not a chat window bolted onto a database. Ask Sapphire is the front door to the intelligence already running in your private environment.

Every answer shows its source

Each statement carries a number. Tap it and the thing it rests on opens — the document, the deadline register it checked, the report it ran. If the answer isn't in your records, Ask Sapphire says so instead of guessing.

It knows the matter you’re on

Open a matter, a trust or a disability claim and ask “what's next?” Ask Sapphire already knows which one you mean, and which jurisdiction's rules apply.

It does the work. You approve it.

Ask for a follow-up task, a set of deadlines or a first draft from your own template. It arrives as a card with every field filled in. Nothing is saved until you approve it, and every approval is logged.

Ask it the way you’d ask a colleague.

Plain English. No query language, no prompt engineering, no switching screens.

On a matter

  • “Where does this matter stand?”
  • “What did the treating physician say about standing limits?”
  • “What’s due next, and who owns it?”

Across the firm

  • “What deadlines are due in the next 14 days?”
  • “Which matters have unbilled time this week?”
  • “Which open matters are product liability?”

Getting it done

  • “Add a task to follow up with the client next Friday.”
  • “Set the deadlines that run from yesterday’s service.”
  • “Draft the engagement letter for the Tulsa office.”
Approve to act

From answer to done — with you in the loop.

Ask Sapphire proposes; you decide. Each proposal is one card, fully filled in, editable before you approve, and recorded in the audit log when you do.

Create a task

Title, due date, priority and owner — on the matter you’re looking at.

Set deadlines

Give it the triggering event and date; supported court rules are applied by the rules engine, with the rule cited. Where a court isn’t covered, it says so rather than guessing.

File an email to a matter

Link an inbound email to the right matter and carry its deadlines across in one step.

Add a contract

Put a contract on the register with its parties, dates and renewal terms.

Draft from your template

Fill your firm’s own template from the client, matter and office on file — a first draft, ready to review.

For fractional GCs

Ask across every client firm at once.

One question, every firm you serve. Each row says which firm it came from and opens inside that firm — while each client’s data stays in its own private environment, exactly as before.

  • “Which of my firms have overdue deadlines?”
  • “What’s unbilled across my firms this week?”
  • “Which firms have the most open matters?”
In your pocket

Coming to the iPhone and iPad apps.

Between hearings, in the hallway, on the way to the client: ask from any matter, approve with one tap, and open the cited page right there. On iPad, the source opens beside the answer.

  • Ask from any matter — already scoped to it
  • Short answers sized for a phone, with the sources one tap away
  • Approve tasks and deadlines with a thumb
Private by architecture

It only knows what your firm knows.

Ask Sapphire reads your firm’s own records, inside your private environment. Your questions and answers are never used to train an AI model, and they are never shared with an AI company.

  • Answers only from your firm’s records
  • Never used to train AI
  • Every action approved by a person, and logged

Questions about Ask Sapphire

Is Ask Sapphire a chatbot?
No. A chatbot answers from what it was trained on. Ask Sapphire answers from your firm’s own records — matters, documents, deadlines, time and email — and shows the source behind each statement. When the answer isn’t in your records, it says so.
Can it change anything without me?
No. Ask Sapphire can prepare a task, deadlines, a contract record, a filed email or a draft, but each one appears as a card you approve, edit or cancel. Nothing is saved until you approve it, and every approval is recorded in the audit log.
How does it know which matter I mean?
When you ask from a matter, a trust or a claim, that is the scope. Ask from anywhere else and it answers about the whole firm — or, for a fractional GC, across your client firms.
Does it know which jurisdiction applies?
Yes. Every answer is framed by your firm’s jurisdiction and, where the matter records one, its governing state. Deadlines are computed only for courts the rules engine supports.
Is my firm’s data used to train AI?
Never. Ask Sapphire runs inside your private environment, reads only your firm’s records, and your questions and answers are not used to train any model.
Can I try it before booking a demo?
Yes. Open a free sandbox, drop in up to three documents, and ask about them. The sandbox and everything in it is deleted after 14 days.
